Job summary

AeroVironment in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Software Engineer to accelerate modernization of missile defense software. You will support the MDA Next Generation Software Office and contribute to on-demand and cloud-based system integration and testing.

The role requires a Master’s in a STEM field, 12+ years in DoD or similar programs, and an active Secret clearance, with experience in cloud-native architectures and AI tooling.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in STEM field required.
• 12+ years on missile defense or other large DoD program/project.
• Active Secret clearance required.
• Design, development, and management of software libraries and Cloud-based architectures.
• Experience in hardware-in-the-loop and cloud-based testing for software development.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the Missile Defense Agency Next Generation Software Office to accelerate and modernize software delivery.
• Develop on-demand and cloud-based software for system of systems development, integration, and testing.
