Job summary

GRVTY is seeking a Cloud Software Engineer to develop and maintain complex Big-Data Cloud systems on secure government programs in Annapolis Junction, MD. You will work on backend processing, indexing, and cloud migrations, with Java, Node.js, Rust, Python, and front-end JS/React as needed.

The role requires TS/SCI with Poly clearance, experience with Kubernetes, microservices, and cloud data technologies, plus a deep understanding of security and performance.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; 12 years software eng experience with Big-Data/cloud tech required
• Experience in cloud and distributed computing and IR
• Strong knowledge of Java, RESTful services, Maven, and OO design
• Experience with cloud big data tech: Hadoop, YARN, HDFS, Cassandra/Solr/ Lucene or similar

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance large-scale Big-Data Cloud systems
• Contribute to backend processing, data indexing, and cloud migrations
• Design and review software components; perform testing and debugging
• Work in microservices architecture using Kubernetes and related tools
• Collaborate with teams to optimize performance and security
