Job summary

GRVTY is seeking a Cloud Software Engineer to design, implement, and maintain large-scale cloud data systems in Annapolis Junction, MD. The role requires a TS/SCI with Poly clearance and involves back-end processing, data indexing, and cloud migration work with Java, Python, Rust, and Node.js.

You will work with Kubernetes-based micro-services, Hadoop ecosystem tools, and IR-focused data workflows, contributing to all stages of software development in a team environment.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance is required.
• Front-End: Javascript and React; Back-End: Node.js/Javascript, Rust, Python, shell scripts.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, micro-services, service-mesh, cloud migration.
• Experience with Hadoop ecosystem, MapReduce, HDFS, Apache Solr/Lucene, and IR basics.
• 12 years software engineering in similar scope; Bachelor's with 4 years in Big-Data/cloud; alternate paths as described.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance complex Big-Data Cloud systems.
• Contribute to back-end processing, analysis, and indexing stages.
• Review and test components for compliance with design requirements.
• Provide input on system design, hardware/software trade-offs, and CI/CD practices.
• Architect and troubleshoot cloud-based distributed computing solutions.
