Job summary

Early Warning is seeking a hands-on technical leader in Chicago, with a hybrid work model, to define standards across multiple engineering teams. You will stay current with cloud, containers, CI/CD, and automated testing while driving quality and collaboration with product and architecture.

You will mentor engineers, own system design, and shape a departmental technical vision while partnering with customers to improve Early Warning products and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• Fifteen+ years designing and developing complex software with 8+ years in FinTech.
• 1–2 years cloud application solutions with containerization, CI/CD, automated testing.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams to create technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Partner with product management to craft strategy and align to tech roadmaps.
• Be a thought leader and coach, mentoring team members and modeling best practices.
• Own technical product design and architecture.
• Create and deliver presentations for small-to-medium groups.
• Collaborate with customers to understand needs and improve Early Warning products.
• Shape engineering approaches and share knowledge across teams.
• Develop a department-wide technical vision for the future.
• Design solutions aligned with cloud, CI/CD, and automated testing.
• Support risk management and data integrity initiatives.
• Follow instructions and perform tasks as assigned.
