Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Hardware Engineering Services (HWEngS) is seeking experienced Cloud Hardware Development Engineers (CHDE) to architect, design, and build next-generation servers and AWS-specific hardware. You will work on server/board design, firmware integration, manufacturing, and data center operations across a fast-paced, high-impact environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent, or 5+ years of relevant technical position experience.
• 5+ years of experience in server level design for compute, storage, accelerator segment or other complex product design
• 5+ years’ experience leading ODMs and other suppliers in the product development and manufacturing processes
• Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures
• Experience in board and server root cause analysis and resolution

Responsibilities

• Bring new technology to our server & products and scale how we operate our fleet.
• Collaborate with internal development teams and external suppliers to deliver new servers with industry leading performance and quality.
• Establish strategic vision and drive execution in defining and delivering new products and services.
• Lead the integration and delivery of servers, support automated monitoring, and conduct failure analysis to operate at scale.
