Job summary

AHEAD is seeking a Cloud Security Specialist Solutions Engineer (SSE) to serve as a senior, national resource. You will lead cloud security architecture and strategy, working with sales and delivery teams to drive secure outcomes for clients.

You will command CNAPP platforms, hyperscaler security controls, and DevSecOps practices, while guiding clients from initial briefings to final proposals. This role emphasizes thought leadership and cross‑region collaboration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in cybersecurity, cloud, or tech consulting with at least 4 years in cloud security.
• Pre-sales experience with client conversations on scope, approach, and pricing.
• Experience creating cloud security proposals (SOWs, service proposals, designs).
• Hands-on with CNAPP platforms (Prisma Cloud, Wiz, Upwind) and cloud provider security controls.
• Experience with at least one hyperscaler (AWS/Azure/GCP) and familiarity with others.
• Ability to present cloud security architectures to technical and executive audiences.
• Consulting experience in SI, PSF, or advisory practices.
• Experience delivering cloud security tooling post-sale.
• Knowledge of IaC security and CI/CD/DevSecOps practices.
• Identity management, federated identity, RBAC, least privilege design.
• Security program scaling across multi-cloud/hybrid environments.
• Industry certs: CISSP, CCSP, CCSK, CISA.
• Cloud certs: AWS/SAA, Azure Defender...
• Vendor certs: Prisma Cloud, Wiz, Upwind, Defender for Cloud, Orca, Sysdig

Responsibilities

• Serve as a national cloud security resource across AHEAD regions.
• Lead technical sales calls with sales teams.
• Design, architect, and consult on cloud security for clients.
• Align proposed solutions with delivery practices and client needs.
• Support engagements with advice, solutions, and proposals.
• Prepare pre-sales docs: configurations, pricing, services, proposals.
• Qualify opportunities by customer requirements and funding.
• Define cloud security strategies and scale with SMEs across AHEAD.
