Job summary

AlphaSense is seeking a Senior Cloud Security Engineer to strengthen security across our cloud environments. You’ll own security projects end to end, from identifying the problem to shipping and operating controls, with high autonomy.

The role emphasizes hands-on work with containerized environments, multi-cloud governance, and zero-trust access controls. A strong DevOps mindset and problem-solving skills are required to drive measurable security outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in cloud security or security-focused infrastructure/DevOps engineering.
• Hands-on experience sealing containerized environments and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of AWS (GCP is a plus) and infrastructure-as-code solutions.
• Proficiency in programming/scripting (e.g., Python) for automation.
• Experience with cloud security posture management or similar tooling.
• Self-starter with ability to own problems end to end and communicate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and automate security controls for cloud infrastructure across AWS and GCP.
• Maintain, integrate and scale cloud security tooling, including CSPM and vulnerability platforms.
• Investigate and remediate security vulnerabilities in cloud infrastructure and drive remediation to closure.
• Design and build access controls across cloud and Kubernetes environments applying zero-trust principles.
• Partner with incident response teams to build detections for cloud infrastructure and help mitigate incidents.
• Develop security standards and guardrails for CI/CD and GitOps workflows.
