Job summary

MMD Services is seeking a Sr Cloud Security Engineer to join a Chicago-area client in Elmhurst, with three days on-site per week. The role shapes security vision for cloud environments and helps ensure CSP alignment with security goals.

You will deploy tools, design access provisioning, and guide remediation of cloud vulnerabilities while collaborating with security, engineering, and compliance teams. Minimum 3+ years in cloud security is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a cloud security engineering role
• Experience architecting solutions on major cloud platforms
• Experience deploying and customizing security tools (scanners, SAST, IDS/IPS)
• Experience with log management or security event correlation systems
• Knowledge of Zero Trust principles and cloud/network security
• Familiarity with modern cloud deployment patterns

Responsibilities

• Build, deploy, and manage cloud security tools and services.
• Design scalable processes for provisioning cloud access and authentication.
• Identify, investigate, and guide resolution of security issues in cloud infra.
• Review cloud architecture with a security lens and provide requirements.
• Collaborate with security leadership, engineering, and compliance teams on strategy.
• Serve as SME on security tools, platforms, and processes.
• Develop cloud security criteria, procedures, and policies.
• Integrate security into the software development lifecycle.
• Partner with teams to resolve security issues aligned with business needs
