Job summary

Early Warning is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and support complex network solutions across LAN, WAN, data center, and cloud environments. You will drive automation, security alignment, and operational excellence in partnership with Cloud, Platform, Security, SRE, and Product teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Typically 5–8 years of progressive experience in network engineering for complex enterprise environments.
• Strong expertise in LAN/WAN, routing protocols, VPN, and data center networking.
• Hands-on experience with firewalls, load balancers, and network switches/routers.
• Experience with hybrid on-prem and AWS cloud environments.
• Scripting or automation experience (Python, Bash, Ansible).
• Solid TCP/IP, OSI model, Ethernet, DNS/DHCP/HTTP/S/SSH, SMTP knowledge.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to make architectural decisions.
• Must pass background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Designs, configures, tests, and maintains complex LAN, WAN, data center, and cloud networking solutions.
• Leads design and implementation for medium to large network initiatives, including upgrades and migrations.
• Translates architectural standards into executable designs and operational solutions.
• Diagnoses and resolves complex network incidents across platforms.
• Performs advanced troubleshooting to isolate hardware, software, and network issues.
• Contributes to evolution of the network platform with modern technologies and automation.
• Participates in architecture reviews and defines network standards and tooling.
• Implements automation and configuration management to improve reliability and scalability.
• Collaborates with Cloud, Platform, Security, SRE, and Product teams on integrated solutions.
• Provides mentorship and shares best practices within the team.
• Maintains documentation, diagrams, and runbooks; supports 24x7 on-call rotations.
