Job summary

Apex Technology, Inc. is hiring a Cloud Security Engineer to design and secure cloud environments for U.S. government missions. You will implement architectures in AWS GovCloud, Azure, and Google Cloud, ensuring compliance with NIST, FedRAMP, RMF, and DoD requirements.

You will manage IAM, Zero Trust, and encryption, use Defender, Sentinel, and Elastic SIEM, and participate in secure CI/CD and IaC practices. On-site at Playa Vista, CA with strong collaboration across DevSecOps teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, Computer Science, or 5+ years equivalent cloud security experience.
• 5–9+ years in cloud security engineering with hands-on work in AWS GovCloud, Azure, Google Cloud, or multi-cloud environments.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills for mission‑critical work.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure cloud architectures across AWS GovCloud, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Maintain compliance with NIST, FedRAMP, RMF, and DoD IL requirements.
• Configure IAM/RBAC, JIT access, Key Vaults, and Zero Trust across clouds.
• Operate cloud-native security tools (Defender, Sentinel, Elastic SIEM) and CSPM/CWPP solutions.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and security reviews against STIGs, CIS, and NIST controls.
• Develop SSPs, SARs, POA&Ms, and risk/compliance reporting for cloud ops.
