Job summary

Cox Automotive seeks a Senior Lead Cybersecurity Architect to define principles, standards, and design patterns for secure multi-cloud and on-premises environments. The role partners with product and enterprise engineering to embed cybersecurity into architecture and governance.

Lead cross-functional teams, drive guardrails, and guide secure design adoption while evaluating emerging threats and AI-enabled governance frameworks. Based in College Park, GA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years in a related field or an equivalent combo (e.g., MS with 6+ years).
• At least 4 years focused on cybersecurity.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and on-premises infrastructure.
• Ability to articulate cybersecurity policies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams to implement best practices.
• Knowledge of ISO 27000, NIST, FFIEC and related regulations guiding architecture.

Responsibilities

• Identify and recommend cybersecurity policies, standards, procedures, and guardrails.
• Lead groups defining cybersecurity guidelines across product and enterprise architecture.
• Develop secure design patterns for engineering adoption.
• Contribute to governance patterns, policies, and standards beyond cyber topics.
• Provide analysis of information security risks and propose solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, scalable release processes.
• Define guardrails with business and engineering teams for secure adoption.
• Participate in security events and incident response to close design gaps.
• Research emerging security trends and technologies for enhancements.
• Work with stakeholders to ensure security considerations underpin decisions.
• Incorporate vulnerability management, governance, risk and compliance into standards.
