Job summary

Cox Automotive seeks a Senior Lead Cybersecurity Architect to define principles, standards, and design patterns for secure multi-cloud and on‑premises environments. You will lead cross‑functional security efforts, develop secure design patterns, and collaborate with product and enterprise engineering teams to embed governance and risk controls across the technology stack.

This role reports to the Senior Director of Cybersecurity Architecture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 8 years of experience; other combinations allowed (master's/PhD with adjusted years)
• At least 4 years focused on cybersecurity
• Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and on‑premises infrastructure
• Ability to articulate cybersecurity policies to technical and non‑technical stakeholders
• Strong written and executive presentation skills
• Collaborate with Cox entities' cybersecurity teams to implement best practices
• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (ISO 27000, NIST, FFIEC) and regulations (GDPR, GLBA)
• Experience with AI governance, AI-enabled architectural artifacts, and AI integration standards

Responsibilities

• Identify and recommend cybersecurity policies, standards, procedures, and guardrails
• Define cybersecurity guidelines across product and enterprise architecture groups
• Develop secure design patterns for engineering adoption
• Contribute to governance patterns, policies, and standards
• Analyze risks to information systems and propose solutions
• Coordinate release processes with cross-functional teams
• Define guardrails to promote secure design pattern adoption
• Participate in security events and incident response to close gaps
• Research emerging security trends and technologies
• Collaborate with data users and stakeholders to factor security into decisions
• Incorporate vulnerability management and governance into cybersecurity standards
