Job summary

Amentum seeks a Senior Cloud Security Architect to design, deploy, and maintain security controls across Microsoft 365 Commercial and GCC High, Azure, AWS, and hybrid environments. This hands-on role leads technical design, configuration, and deployment automation while guiding governance for AI-enabled services.

You will work with Risk, Compliance, and Security Operations to implement CMMC/NIST controls, risk assessments, and threat modeling.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship is required for this position.
• Typically eight or more years of relevant experience in cloud, security, systems, or infrastructure engineering.
• Hands-on design and implementation experience for cloud controls in Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, and hybrid environments.
• Experience applying cloud security principles to AI/ML services, including threat modeling and control design.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement security controls across Microsoft 365 Commercial and GCC High, Azure, AWS, and hybrid services.
• Lead threat modeling and hands-on security testing for AI, copilot, and agentic systems.
• Develop reusable infrastructure-as-code components and deployment automation for security policies.
• Engineer cloud security platforms, posture management, and workload protection capabilities.
• Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, and Security Operations to support assessments and audits.
