Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Senior Cloud Security Architect to design, build, and maintain cloud security controls across Microsoft 365 Commercial/GCC High, Azure, AWS, and hybrid environments. The role focuses on secure AI adoption, threat modeling, and scalable automation, with direct involvement in configuration and testing.

You will lead security design reviews, implement reusable governance patterns, and work across government and commercial cloud contexts to protect CUI data and ensure compliance

Qualifications

• Eight+ years of relevant experience in cloud/security engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience securing Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, and hybrid environments.
• Experience delivering security controls, IAM, data protection, logging, and threat modeling.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement security controls across cloud environments and AI services.
• Lead threat modeling and design reviews for high-risk use cases.
• Develop reusable IaC components and deployment automation for security policies.
• Collaborate with risk/compliance teams to meet regulatory requirements.
• Mentor engineers and provide hands-on security guidance.
