Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Senior Cloud Security Architect to design, deploy, and maintain security controls across Microsoft 365 Commercial and GCC High, Azure, AWS, and hybrid environments. You will lead threat modeling, implement reusable IaC components, and drive secure adoption of AI capabilities across commercial and government workloads.

The role requires eight+ years of security/infra engineering experience, strong cloud security skills, and the ability to translate regulatory requirements

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience designing and implementing cloud security controls across MS 365, Azure, AWS, GCC High, and hybrid environments.
• Proven ability to perform threat modeling and risk assessments for AI-enabled and regulated workloads.
• Expertise with infrastructure-as-code, deployment automation, and security testing.
• Experience translating security/regulatory requirements into actionable controls and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement security controls and reusable patterns across Microsoft 365 Commercial and GCC High, Azure, AWS, and hybrid services.
• Design security architectures for generative AI, machine learning, enterprise copilots, and agentic systems, including access, data protection, logging, and governance.
• Hands-on configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and tuning for cloud security implementations.
• Build and maintain IaC components and deployment automation for security policies and onboarding.
• Lead threat modeling and reviews for new services and high-risk use cases, then implement approved approaches.
• Engineer and administer cloud security posture management and workload protection capabilities.
• Lead platform changes and escalations with the Cloud Security Engineer and coordinate with risk/compliance teams.
• Translate requirements into technical control objectives for audits and assessments.
