Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Senior Cloud Security Architect to design, build, deploy, and maintain security controls across Microsoft 365 Commercial and GCC High, Azure, AWS, and hybrid environments. You will lead security pattern development to enable safe use of generative AI, machine learning, and enterprise copilots.

The role combines hands-on configuration, infrastructure‑as‑code, deployment automation, testing, and risk-based decision making, reporting to the Senior Cybersecurity Architect &

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on knowledge of Microsoft cloud or AWS security capabilities.
• Ability to explain technical decisions, tradeoffs, and risk clearly to engineering teams, leaders, and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience using infrastructure as code, source control, scripting, and deployment automation to implement and maintain cloud controls.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement security controls and reusable patterns across Microsoft 365 Commercial and GCC High, Azure, AWS, and hybrid services.
• Lead threat modeling and hands-on security testing for cloud and AI security risks.
• Build and maintain infrastructure-as-code components and deployment automation for security policies and onboarding.
