Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Senior Cloud Security Architect to design, build, and operate security controls across Microsoft 365 Commercial and GCC High, Azure, AWS, and hybrid environments. The role is hands-on, guiding secure deployment of AI-enabled services while ensuring compliance with government frameworks.

You will lead threat modeling, automation, and integration of security telemetry with enterprise tools, mentoring engineers and coordinating with risk, compliance, and operations teams.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Typically 8+ years of related experience in cloud/security including hands-on design/implementation.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Microsoft cloud or AWS security capabilities.
• Experience applying cloud security principles to AI or ML services, including threat modeling and control design.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement security controls across Microsoft 365 Commercial and GCC High, Azure, AWS, and hybrid services.
• Lead security for AI/ML and enterprise copilot, including threat modeling and governance patterns.
• Develop secure patterns for AI workloads and ensure data protection, access control, and logging.
• Coordinate risk and compliance activities and provide technical evidence for assessments and audits.
• Mentor engineers and provide hands-on security support for complex cloud and AI security issues.
