Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Senior Cloud Security Architect to design, implement, and operate security controls across Microsoft 365 Commercial and GCC High, Azure, AWS, and hybrid environments. The role focuses on secure architectures for AI, machine learning, and agentic systems, with hands-on deployment, testing, and automation.

You will lead threat modeling, validate controls, and collaborate with Risk and Compliance to ensure regulatory alignment while supporting government and commercial cloud

Qualifications

• Eight+ years in relevant security/engineering roles including hands-on design and implementation with a related Bachelor's degree.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Microsoft cloud or AWS security capabilities in Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, and hybrid environments.
• Experience designing, deploying, and troubleshooting cloud security controls (identity, network, data protection, logging, posture, workload).
• Experience applying cloud security to AI/ML services, generative AI, enterprise copilots, and agents, including threat modeling and control design.
• Experience using infrastructure as code, source control, scripting, and deployment automation.
• Experience with threat modeling and translating security or regulatory requirements into technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement security controls and reusable patterns across Microsoft 365 Commercial, GCC High, Azure, AWS, and hybrid services.
• Develop security architectures for AI/ML, generative AI, and enterprise copilots with access, data protection, logging, and human-oversight controls.
• Perform hands-on configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and tuning for complex cloud security implementations.
• Build and maintain IaC components and deployment automation for security policies and onboarding.
• Lead threat modeling and design reviews for new services and high-risk use cases; implement approved approaches.
• Engineer and administer cloud security posture management, workload protection, and monitoring integrations.
