Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Senior Cloud Security Architect in the United States to design, deploy, and maintain security controls across Microsoft 365, GCC High, Azure, AWS, and hybrid environments. You will lead security patterns for generative AI and enterprise copilots, provide hands-on configuration, and drive secure adoption of AI capabilities.

Responsibilities include threat modeling, deployment automation, and collaboration with Risk and Compliance to meet NIST/DFARS and other standards.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on knowledge of Microsoft cloud or AWS security capabilities.
• Ability to explain technical decisions, tradeoffs, and risk clearly to engineering teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement security controls across Microsoft 365 Commercial, GCC High, Azure, AWS, and hybrid environments.
• Architect security for generative AI, machine learning, enterprise copilots, and agentic systems.
• Perform hands-on configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and tuning for cloud security implementations.
• Build and maintain IaC components and deployment automation for security policies and onboarding.
• Lead threat modeling and reviews for new services and high-risk use cases.
• Engineer and administer cloud security posture management and workload protection.
• Collaborate with Risk and Compliance on controls and assessments.
