Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Senior Cloud Security Architect to design, build, deploy, and maintain security controls across Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, and hybrid environments. You will lead security patterns for AI, ML, and enterprise copilots, while applying government and international security frameworks.

The role involves hands-on configuration, deployment automation, threat modeling, and ongoing support, reporting to the Senior Cybersecurity Architect & Senior Manager.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in cloud/security/infrastructure with a bachelor's or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience securing Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, and hybrid environments.
• Experience with IAM, network segmentation, data protection, logging, and posture management.
• Experience applying security principles to AI/ML services.
• Experience with IaC, source control, scripting, and deployment automation.
• Experience with threat modeling and risk assessment.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement security controls across Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, and hybrid services.
• Develop architectures for AI and agentic systems with secure access and data protection.
• Perform hands-on configuration, testing, and troubleshooting for cloud security.
• Build reusable infrastructure-as-code components and deployment automation.
• Lead threat modeling and design reviews for new services and high-risk use cases.
• Engineer and operate cloud security posture management and workload protection.
