Coupa Software Incorporated is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to architect and scale our Kubernetes infrastructure and drive automated resource management at enterprise scale. You will partner across Engineering, DevOps, FinOps, and Finance to optimize performance and cost while shaping a resilient platform.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience as a Platform/Cloud Engineer or SRE managing Kubernetes (EKS/GKE) at enterprise scale.
• Hands-on experience with intelligent resource automation platforms (e.g., ScaleOps) and automated scaling tools.
• Strong understanding of FinOps principles and cost-avoidance strategies in cloud-native environments.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/OpenTofu) and configuration management.
• Deep expertise in AWS/GCP cloud services, containerization, and large compute footprints.
• Excellent cross-functional communication aligning tech with business/financial goals.

Responsibilities

• Architect, manage, and scale the enterprise Kubernetes infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.
• Oversee automated platform optimization, moving from manual tuning to scalable resource management systems.
• Implement and manage intelligent resource automation to size and place workloads by default.
• Collaborate with Engineering, DevOps, Platform Engineering, FinOps, and Finance to drive cost avoidance and alignment.
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and observability tools for Kubernetes.
• Mentor engineers and lead architectural initiatives to improve resilience, security, and operations.
