Coupa is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to architect and scale our enterprise Kubernetes infrastructure (EKS/GKE) across a large fleet of clusters. You will mentor engineers and lead architectural initiatives to improve resilience, security, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 12+ years experience as a Platform Engineer, Cloud Engineer, or SRE managing Kubernetes at enterprise scale.
• Hands-on experience with intelligent resource automation platforms and automated scaling tools like Karpenter.
• Strong understanding of FinOps principles and cost avoidance strategies in cloud-native environments.
• Proficiency in Terraform, OpenTofu, and configuration management.
• Deep expertise in AWS/GCP cloud services, containerization, and large compute footprints.
• Excellent cross-functional communication aligning technical and business goals.

Responsibilities

• Architect, manage, and scale enterprise Kubernetes infrastructure for high availability.
• Oversee automated platform optimization, reducing manual toil with scalable systems.
• Implement and manage intelligent resource automation for workload sizing and placement.
• Collaborate with Engineering, DevOps, Platform Engineering, FinOps, and Finance to align costs and goals.
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and observability tools.
• Mentor engineers and lead initiatives to improve resilience, security, and operational excellence.
