Job summary

Nirvana is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Cloud Infrastructure Platform team. You will own core platform capabilities across infrastructure provisioning, CI/CD, and internal tooling, enabling every engineering group to build, ship, and operate reliably.

You’ll work across Terraform-based provisioning, our in-house platform, and GitHub Actions in a monorepo, while improving reliability, cost visibility, and security.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of backend, infrastructure, platform, DevOps/SRE, or developer-productivity engineering experience.
• Built and operated infrastructure, internal platforms, or tooling used by other engineering teams.
• Proficient in production-quality Go and/or Python with strong distributed systems fundamentals.
• Hands-on with AWS, Terraform or similar IaC, and CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions.
• Strong observability, incident management, and operational ownership instincts.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain core platform capabilities across infrastructure provisioning, CI/CD, internal tooling, and developer productivity.
• Own end-to-end delivery of moderately complex platform projects, from scoping to rollout.
• Improve Terraform-based infrastructure platform and self-serve workflows for faster engineering delivery.
• Strengthen CI/CD reliability, scalability, and developer experience across GitHub Actions and monorepo.
• Contribute to in-house AI tooling that supports the SDLC from requirements to monitoring.
• Improve infrastructure security by building secure-by-default patterns and SOC 2 controls.
• Build and refine monitoring, SLIs/SLOs, and cost observability for platform services.
• Participate in on-call, postmortems, root-cause analysis, and reliability improvements.
• Partner with internal engineering teams to design paved roads and mentor through reviews.
