Job summary

Palo Alto Networks is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to build developer tooling and an infrastructure platform for a large engineering organization. You will own the full lifecycle from local tooling to CI/CD, using cloud-native technologies to deliver observability and reliability for major tech customers.

The role emphasizes IaC with Terraform, Kubernetes management, and cross-team collaboration, with a remote-friendly, hybrid setup across geographies.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience in software engineering.
• Strong experience in at least one backend language (Go, Java, Python, or Rust).
• Cloud-native concepts and experience with AWS or GCP.
• Understanding of Linux internals, networking, security, and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Architect & Build: design and maintain high-scale developer tooling and backend services.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform to deploy and manage environments.
• Drive systemic quality by eliminating bottlenecks in the SDLC.
• Scale & reliability: ensure infrastructure handles massive traffic and provides near real-time telemetry.
• Strategic leadership & mentorship: set platform standards and coach teams.
