Job summary

Safety National in Missouri is seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer III to empower development and operations teams with robust, scalable, and secure platform capabilities. You will design, implement, and maintain self-service platforms, CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and deployment automation using Azure DevOps, Terraform, GitHub, and ARM templates.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Hybrid schedule: minimum 3 days/week in St. Louis office at 1832 Schuetz Rd.
• Minimum 6 years in Information Systems or related field.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Terraform, GitHub, and ARM templates.
• Experience with observability tools: Azure Monitor, OpenTelemetry, Datadog.
• Experience with DevSecOps and secure-by-default platform engineering.
• Hands-on IaC: Terraform, ARM templates, Ansible.
• Strong CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes on Azure, and PaaS knowledge.
• Security-conscious delivery pipelines and strong communication skills.
• Willingness to mentor and participate in 24/7 on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain self-service platform capabilities.
• Develop scalable CI/CD pipelines and IaC, enabling rapid app delivery.
• Automate platform operations: provisioning, config, secrets, runtime orchestration.
• Build observability: logging, metrics, traces with Azure Monitor, OpenTelemetry, Datadog.
• Embed security by default and support DevSecOps across pipelines.
• Collaborate with developers, cloud engineers, data teams, cybersecurity, and product teams.
• Mentor team members, lead incident response, and participate in post-mortems.
• Serve as escalation point for monitoring tools and cloud infrastructure; 24/7 on-call.
