Job summary

Field Nation is seeking a Platform Engineer to redefine our internal development platform and tooling, enabling engineers to build, deploy, and troubleshoot cloud apps with strong security and reliability. You’ll focus on cloud architecture, IaC, monitoring, and on‑call resilience, while reducing toil across teams.

You’ll participate in defining SLIs/SLOs, improving platform scalability, and collaborating with engineering to meet customer expectations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years writing secure, scalable infrastructure as code (Terraform) and deploying cloud infra (AWS).
• 2+ years experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitOps) and automation scripting.
• 1+ year hands-on DevOps/DevSecOps/SRE; 1+ year Kubernetes experience (EKS preferred).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate the internal developer platform and tooling to enable feature work.
• Maintain cloud architecture, IaC, monitoring, and incident response processes.
• Define and monitor SLIs/SLOs, implement error budgets, and reduce toil.
• Participate in on‑call rotations and improve platform resilience and scalability.
• Apply chaos engineering practices to validate monitoring and HA/DR commitments.
