Job summary

ASM Research seeks a Cloud Computing Support Lead to act as senior technical expert for enterprise cloud infrastructure hosting mission‑critical workloads in regulated environments. You will design, deploy, and operate secure, scalable cloud platforms across providers while guiding incident response and automation efforts.

You will mentor engineers on IaC, containerization, and runbooks, aligning with governance and enterprise controls to ensure reliability and security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8–15 years of relevant experience designing, implementing, and operating complex infrastructure or cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud) with production deployments.
• Expertise with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) and scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Extensive experience leading incident, problem, and change management for high‑visibility services.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust investigation; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, and manage enterprise cloud environments across major providers.
• Translate requirements into scalable cloud architectures and platform standards.
• Implement and maintain IaC and CI/CD pipelines for auditable provisioning.
• Design and operate monitoring, logging, and alerting to improve reliability.
• Apply cloud security best practices including IAM, segmentation, encryption, and key management.
• Lead troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis for complex cloud incidents.
• Develop standards, diagrams, and recovery procedures for cloud platforms.
• Mentor engineers on automation, platform capabilities, and reliability practices.
