Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company, is seeking a senior cloud engineer to deploy and optimize cloud environments for clients and internal stakeholders. You will use scripting and IaC to provision, harden, and operate cloud services at scale.

The role demands 8–15 years IT experience with cloud engineering, plus CSP certifications and strong IAM, storage, and Linux/Windows troubleshooting skills. Collaboration across teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in IT or related field.
• CSP Associate level cloud certification in AWS, Azure, OCI or Google Cloud preferred.
• Professional level certification a plus.
• 8-15 years IT experience with a mix of cloud engineering and operations.
• 3-4 years cloud engineering with one or more vendor platforms.
• 4+ years experience debugging Windows or Linux in admin/support roles.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, provision, harden, and optimize cloud infrastructure and services.
• Build and deploy cloud-based services at scale; provision new hosts.
• Design specs for network, storage, and compute in cloud environments.
• Manage cloud services: IAM, security groups, and CSP native services.
• Use IaC, CI/CD, and architecture reviews to manage cloud infrastructure.
• Develop scripts and templates for provisioning/configuration.
• Translate high-level objectives into actionable technical requirements.
• Review deployment requirements with teams and client services.
• Create documentation for cloud best practices and operations.
• Serve as liaison with clients to meet their needs and plan new capabilities.
