Workday, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help migrate acquired workloads to the CP2 platform. You will design migration strategies, implement code and IaC, and collaborate across IPE and acquisition teams to standardize a cloud-agnostic paved road.

The role emphasizes hands-on migration, architecture review participation, and building repeatable patterns for faster onboarding of future acquisitions. Hybrid work with in-office collaboration is supported.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software/infrastructure engineering experience, with at least 3 years operating production workloads on AWS and/or GCP.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong, current Kubernetes experience (EKS, GKE, or equivalent).
• Production proficiency in Terraform (Terragrunt a plus) as your primary IaC tool, and experience refactoring IaC across accounts/projects/regions.
• Strong coding skills in Go and/or Python for automation, migration tooling, and operators.
• Solid CI/CD experience (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, ArgoCD, Flux, or Harness) and comfort redesigning pipelines.
• Working knowledge of observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, GCP Operations Suite, or equivalents).
• Practical experience with at least one managed cloud database (Aurora, Cloud SQL, Spanner, RDS) including migration or replication.

Responsabilités

• Plan, design, and execute migration to CP2 platform for acquisitions.
• Write code, IaC, and automation to move services and refactor onto CP2 components.
• Inventory services and CSP footprints across acquired companies and produce per-service migration plans.
• Rewrite Terraform/Terragrunt modules as needed and re-instrument observability to Workday standards.
• Contribute to migration playbooks and RFCs for faster onboarding of new acquisitions.
