Job summary

Peraton seeks a Senior Cloud Engineer for Space Programs to design, automate, and operate mission-critical cloud infrastructure. You will enable secure, scalable delivery of capabilities to Agile teams across classified environments, leveraging IaC, containers, and CI/CD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 10+ years of experience; four years may substitute for degree.
• TS/SCI clearance with polygraph; must maintain clearance.
• 4+ years in cloud engineering, build/release automation, or orchestration.
• IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA‑Security, GSEC).
• Hands‑on with AWS/Azure/GCP, IaC, and automation tools (Ansible, GitLab, Jenkins).
• Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Rancher; CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Build and automate cloud infrastructure and containerized services (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for large‑scale deployments with IaC.
• Harden systems using DevSecOps, PKI, identity integration, and compliance baselines.
• Monitor reliability and observability; diagnose issues in classified environments.
• Develop engineering artifacts and configuration management aligned to IMS.
