Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company is hiring a Cloud Engineer to deploy, provision, harden, and optimize cloud infrastructure and services. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy cloud services for internal stakeholders and clients.

The role requires 8-15 years in IT with cloud engineering experience on vendor platforms, plus scripting and IaC proficiency. Candidates should have CSP certifications and strong problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
• CSP Associate level cloud certification/s in either AWS, Microsoft Azure, OCI, Google Cloud.
• Professional level certification a plus.
• 8-15 years of IT experience with a combination of:
• 3-4 years of cloud engineering experience, working with one or more vendor platforms.
• 4+ years experience debugging Windows or Linux in admin/support/engineering capacity.

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy new cloud-based computing services at scale for clients and deliver provisioning of hosts.
• Formulate detailed network, storage and compute design specifications for stable operations.
• Manage cloud services: IAM, Security Groups, and CSP native services.
• Use IaC, CI/CD, architecture reviews to create/manage cloud infrastructure.
• Develop scripts/templates for provisioning and configuration of resources.
• Collaborate to translate high-level objectives into technical requirements.
• Review operational requirements with project teams for deployment and support.
• Develop documentation for best practices in server infrastructure and cloud operations.
• Serve as liaison with clients to ensure needs are met.
• Assist with identifying/planning potential new cloud services.
