Job summary

Accenture Federal Services seeks a Cloud DevOps Engineer to design and maintain secure cloud-based systems in AWS, using Terraform, Ansible and CloudFormation, and to build CI/CD pipelines.

You will automate deployments, ensure compliance with NIST 800-53, DISA STIGs, and FedRAMP, manage IAM and encryption, monitor systems, and collaborate with teams to deliver mission-critical federal applications. This role requires hands-on Linux expertise and a proactive security mindset.

Qualifications

• 5 years of Linux system and/or network administration (RHEL/CentOS)
• 3 years of cloud (AWS or similar) experience
• 3 years of automation and scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell)
• 3 years of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
• 3 years implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD)
• 2 years implementing security controls in Linux environments (encryption, IAM, monitoring)
• Bachelor's degree or 4 years of related experience in lieu of degree
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification or higher

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure cloud-based systems and applications with IaC and CI/CD
• Build, deploy, and troubleshoot cloud-native applications in AWS
• Develop and maintain IaC using Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation
• Create and maintain automation scripts using Bash, Python, or PowerShell
• Ensure compliance with security standards (NIST 800-53, DISA STIGs, FedRAMP)
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate security into the SDLC
• Implement and maintain IAM, encryption, and network security controls
• Automate deployment, scaling, and monitoring of applications and services
• Work with cloud-native tools to enhance capabilities while maintaining security
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues across the stack
• Maintain system documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing
