Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Core Infra Systems team in the Platform group. You will work across cloud and networking foundations to run reliably at scale, shaping the front door for multi-cloud patterns with standardization and strong defaults.

You will own cross-cutting initiatives, build self-service tooling, embed guardrails, drive standardization, and lead investigations to scale foundational systems across Coinbase’s multi-cloud environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with cloud infra
• Experience building/operating production cloud infrastructure on AWS/GCP
• Proficiency in backend languages (Go or Python)
• Ability to drive cross-team technical initiatives
• Responsible use of AI to improve workflows

Responsibilities

• Own cross-cutting infra initiatives across AWS, GCP, and Networking pillars
• Build and maintain self-service tooling and default roadmaps for safe provisioning
• Embed guardrails into infrastructure provisioning for security/compliance
• Drive standardization across multi-cloud environments
• Lead investigations and improvements across infrastructure boundaries
