Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Core Infra Systems team. You will help standardize multi-cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP), build self-service tooling, and embed guardrails to ensure secure, reliable provisioning.

You’ll partner across Compute, Infra Security, and Networking to scale foundational platforms. The role emphasizes cross-team collaboration, production-grade networking, and strong coding in Go or Python, in a remote-first environment with periodic in-person

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with cloud infra focus.
• 3+ years building and operating production cloud infra on AWS and/or GCP.
• Hands-on with VPCs, transit gateways, DNS, load balancers, and cloud networking primitives.
• IaC tooling such as Terraform or Pulumi.
• Go or Python proficiency for platform tooling and automation.
• Ability to drive cross-team technical initiatives.
• Uses generative AI responsibly with human oversight.

Responsibilities

• Own cross-cutting infra initiatives across AWS, GCP, and Networking.
• Build and maintain self-service tooling and paved-road defaults for safe provisioning.
• Partner with Compute, Infra Security, and Routing to embed guardrails in provisioning.
• Drive standardization across multi-cloud for cloud networking, compute, and shared primitives.
• Lead investigations and operational improvements across infra boundaries.
