Job summary

Coinbase is a remote-first company building the future of finance. As a Senior Software Engineer on the Core Infra Systems team, you’ll shape cloud infrastructure across AWS and GCP, delivering secure, scalable platform primitives and self-service tooling.

You’ll collaborate with Compute, Infra Security, Routing, and other teams to standardize deployments, reduce fragmentation, and improve reliability across Coinbase’s multi-cloud environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• 3+ years building/operating production cloud infrastructure on AWS and/or GCP.
• Proficiency in Go or Python for platform tooling and automation.

Responsibilities

• Own cross-cutting infrastructure initiatives across AWS, GCP, and Networking pillars.
• Build and maintain self-service tooling and paved-road defaults for safe provisioning.
• Embed guardrails into infrastructure provisioning for security and compliance.
• Drive standardization across multi-cloud environment to reduce fragmentation.
• Lead technical investigations and improvements across infrastructure boundaries.
