Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Systems Engineer for our Chantilly, VA office to support a DoD Community customer. You will join a high-performing team focused on design, development, test, and deployment of a complex system in an Agile setting.

You will build mission-critical, highly available networked systems, deploy cloud instances with automation, and author Ansible playbooks for rapid installation, patching, and ongoing sustainment.

Qualifications

• Minimum Top-Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI
• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE or related field with 8+ years experience (or 10+ with Associates)
• Experience with Linux and Windows system administration and automation
• Strong experience building, configuring, and troubleshooting systems from scratch using automation
• Experience creating and updating infrastructure deployment and patching playbooks (Ansible)
• Experience scripting (Bash, Python) for automation across multiple hosts
• Hands-on with identity management (Active Directory, FreeIPA) and PKI
• Experience with RHEL 9+ and related system hardening
• Familiarity with PKI, network/firewalls and OS/infrastructure layers
• Proficiency with security hardening and tools like SELinux

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with DoD stakeholders across system lifecycle
• Build and deploy cloud instances and applications using automation
• Develop Ansible playbooks for rapid installation and patching
• Create and maintain system deployment and validation documentation
• Plan capacity and design for resource expansion
• Support ground system trade studies and performance improvements
