Job summary

Trusted Space, LLC is seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Systems Engineer to join our team in Chantilly, VA. The role focuses on building a private cloud infrastructure, providing scalable, secure environments for DoD systems, and automating deployments with Ansible and related tools.

You will work with DoD customers and stakeholders across the system lifecycle, from design and deployment to operations, ensuring high availability and robust PKI and identity management integrations in a Linux

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with polygraph ability per customer request.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher with 8+ years in systems engineering; or Master’s with 6+ years.
• Deep Linux/Windows expertise; automation tooling; config management.
• Experience building secure, high-availability infrastructure and PKI.
• Identity management integration (AD/FreeIPA) experience a plus.
• Proficiency with RHEL 9.x and related OS deployment tasks.
• Hands-on with OpenStack/OpenShift/Satellite ecosystems.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with DoW stakeholders through full system lifecycle for ground system architecture.
• Build and deploy cloud instances and apps using automation to improve efficiency.
• Create documentation: operational concepts, requirements, specs, interface docs, test plans.
• Plan design expansions to meet program needs and conduct related trade studies.
• Support DoD ground system operations and private cloud infrastructure.
• Ensure secure configurations, PKI, and IDAM integration across environments.
• Triage and resolve system-level issues, including networking and security hardening.
