Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Mid-Level Infrastructure Systems Administrator in Chantilly, VA to support a DoD customer within a highly skilled, agile team. The role involves managing a multi-tenant, cloud-based classified environment, applying patches, hardening systems, and ensuring uptime for mission-critical infrastructure.

The position requires a Top-Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI, a Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, strong communication, and excellent

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 5+ years of relevant experience
• Top-Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI
• Experience as System Administrator in Red Hat Linux environments
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Detail-oriented, able to multi-task with minimal supervision
• Knowledge of DoD 8140 foundational qualifications for System Administrator

Responsibilities

• Support cloud-based classified environment uptime for multi-tenant infrastructure
• Perform daily system monitoring and monthly patching as part of O&M
• Manage OS configurations, documentation, performance tuning, installations and updates
• Maintain highly available, high-performance networked systems
• Collaborate with other engineering teams to reduce architectural complexity
• Monitor tenant discrepancy reports and address system resources for efficiency
• Provide Tier 3 development support for issue identification and resolution
