Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Mid-level Cloud Infrastructure Systems Engineer in Chantilly, VA to support a DoD customer. You will architect, implement, and automate scalable cloud-based infrastructure across Linux/Windows environments, focusing on security, patching, and reliability.

You’ll collaborate with a cross-functional team in an Agile setting to deliver mission-critical ground systems. Required are strong Linux/Windows skills, Ansible, Python, IaC, PKI/IDAM, and experience with RHEL 8+.

Qualifications

• Requires Top-Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI
• Bachelor’s or Master’s with 5+ / 3+ years of relevant experience
• Experience in Linux/Windows systems, automation, and configuration management
• Experience building systems from scratch and applying security hardening
• Experience with PKI, IDAM, and certificate management
• Knowledge of Red Hat/OpenStack/OpenShift/OpenStack on OpenShift is a plus
• Experience with Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages

Responsibilities

• Support DoW system lifecycle: development, integration & test
• Deploy cloud instances and applications using automation to improve efficiency
• Develop Ansible playbooks for rapid installation and patching
• Create infrastructure documentation: IC, requirements, specs, interfaces, V&V plans
• Plan and design expansion for program needs
• Support ground system trade studies and operator handover
