Job summary

Verisys is seeking a hands-on Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, secure, and scale our healthcare credentialing platform. You will own AWS-based operations, Windows and Linux administration, Nutanix on‑prem, Rancher, and ECS Anywhere, with a strong systems administration component in a remote role.

You will move between cloud engineering, systems administration, and security tasks, balancing priorities to deliver reliable, compliant infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, SRE, and/or systems administration.
• 3+ years supporting production workloads in AWS.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate secure AWS infrastructure with a security, cost, and DR focus.
• Manage infrastructure as code via CloudFormation and support CI/CD pipelines.
• Run container workloads on ECS Anywhere and administer Rancher Cattle clusters.
• Provide Linux subject matter expertise across phys/virtual/cloud servers.
• Administer Windows Server, AD, DNS/DHCP, and IIS on-prem and EC2.
• Manage on-prem Nutanix Prism Element/Central; AHV, capacity planning, upgrades, data protection.
• Automate config and patching with Python, PowerShell, Bash, and AWS Systems Manager.
• Own SMTP relay (Postfix/SES), TLS, DKIM/DMARC, deliverability troubleshooting.
• Monitor, log, alert, participate in on-call; support HITRUST and SOC 2.
• Ensure security, reliability, and compliance across hybrid environments.
