Job summary

Verisys is seeking a hands-on Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and secure our AWS-based healthcare credentialing platform. The role spans cloud engineering, systems administration, and support, with emphasis on security, reliability, and scalable architecture.

You will own Linux, Windows, on-prem Nutanix, container platforms (Rancher, ECS Anywhere), SMTP relay, and SSL/TLS. Remote role but US-based with state restrictions apply.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, SRE or systems administration.
• Experience supporting production workloads in AWS.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate secure, highly available AWS infrastructure.
• Manage infrastructure as code with CloudFormation and CI/CD support.
• Run container workloads on ECS/ECS Anywhere; administer Rancher Cattle clusters.
• Serve as Linux SME: provisioning, hardening, patching, perf tuning, troubleshooting.
• Administer Windows Server (AD, GPO, DNS/DHCP, IIS) on-prem and in EC2.
• Manage Nutanix Prism Element/Central; capacity planning, upgrades, data protection.
• Automate config and patching with Python, PowerShell, Bash, and AWS Systems Manager.
• Own SMTP relay infrastructure and SSL/TLS certificate management across IIS/Linux/Postfix/AWS.
• Maintain monitoring, logging, alerting; participate in on-call; support HITRUST/SOC2.
