Job summary

Verisys is seeking a hands-on Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, secure, and scale our AWS-based infrastructure behind our healthcare credentialing platform. This remote role requires ownership across Linux, Windows, on‑prem Nutanix, container platforms (Rancher and ECS Anywhere), SMTP relay, and SSL/TLS certificates.

You’ll move between cloud engineering, systems administration, and business-driven tasks on a small team, thriving in a fast-paced, remote environment with shifting

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, SRE, and/or systems administration.
• 3+ years supporting production workloads in AWS.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate secure, highly available AWS infrastructure per AWS Well-Architected Framework.
• Manage infrastructure as code with CloudFormation and support CI/CD for container builds.
• Run containerized workloads on ECS/ECS Anywhere and administer Rancher Cattle clusters.
• Provision and harden Linux, Windows Server, and on-prem Nutanix environments.
• Automate configuration and patching with Python, PowerShell, Bash, and AWS Systems Manager.
• Own SMTP relay (Postfix/Amazon SES) and SSL/TLS certificate renewals across IIS and Linux.
• Maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting; participate in on-call; support HITRUST and SOC 2.
