Job summary

National Life Group is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer – Cloud & Identity to secure Azure cloud and identity platforms. The role focuses on Entra ID, Active Directory, Intune, and Microsoft 365, with emphasis on identity, privileged access, device management, and authentication.

The engineer will lead security controls, collaborate with security, infrastructure, and audit teams, and mentor junior staff. Office-based with four onsite days per week, reports to Security leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of related experience.
• Hands-on experience securing Microsoft Azure cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience administering and securing Microsoft Entra ID.
• Hands-on experience supporting security capabilities within Microsoft 365.
• Experience configuring Entra Conditional Access policies and MFA.
• Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining security controls in enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, configure, administer, and maintain security controls across Azure and related cloud services.
• Administer and enhance identity and access management across Entra ID and Active Directory.
• Implement and maintain privileged access management controls.
• Configure authentication and MFA controls to strengthen security while maintaining access.
• Support Entra Conditional Access policies to enforce access requirements.
• Design, implement, and enhance cloud security controls in alignment with policies and standards.
• Lead technical accountability and provide mentorship to peers.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and security standards.
