Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Hardware Engineering seeks experienced Thermal/Mechanical Engineers to design next-generation server platforms. You will lead cooling and mechanical technology applications for large-scale deployments and enable automated assembly to boost throughput.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, drive design improvements, mentor engineers, and ensure high standards of performance, quality, and cost across AWS data centers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• 7 years experience in thermal and mechanical design of server technologies.
• Proficiency with CFD tools and 3D CAD for server design.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and thermal design and development for complex electronic systems.
• Design and validate systems and subsystems to meet program objectives.
• Collaborate with HW/SW teams to develop optimized integrated solutions.
• Conduct failure analysis and solution validation for product development and fleet systems.
• Mentor and provide technical reviews to a team of mechanical/thermal design engineers.
