Sony Interactive Entertainment in Aliso Viejo, CA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Cloud Streaming Game Services. You will design, implement, and operate server-side software for a globally distributed PlayStation cloud infrastructure.

Lead features end-to-end, build robust Kubernetes-based tooling, and collaborate with SRE and Platform teams to ensure reliability, performance, and maintainability of production services.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience designing, implementing, and operating production software systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software powering the globally distributed PlayStation Cloud Streaming infrastructure.
• Build Kubernetes controllers, operators, and system services powering infrastructure lifecycle management and orchestration.
• Own features from design through implementation, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Develop high-quality, maintainable code with comprehensive unit and integration testing.
• Partner with SRE, Test and Platform Engineering to deliver reliable production services.
• Investigate and resolve production issues with focus on reliability and performance.
