Sony Interactive Entertainment in Aliso Viejo, CA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for streaming and systems. You will build high-performance C/C++ software in Linux and Windows, spanning game streaming, platform software, infrastructure, and cloud-enabled capabilities.

You’ll prototype, debug, and ship reliable systems, collaborate with focused teams across streaming, platform, and cloud, and apply AI-native workflows to accelerate exploration, testing, and production-quality

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent senior-level software experience.
• Strong C/C++ skills and deep Linux systems experience.
• Practical fluency with AI-native engineering workflows, including coding agents, LLM-assisted debugging, test generation, automation, and rapid exploration.
• Experience in systems-oriented or performance-sensitive codebases.
• Clear communication, ownership, and the ability to operate with ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Explore, prototype, validate, and ship performance-sensitive systems.
• Build low-level and performance-sensitive software in C/C++, primarily in Linux environments.
• Collaborate across streaming, platform software, infrastructure, developer tooling, and cloud-enabled capabilities.
• Use AI-native workflows for coding, debugging, testing, documentation, automation, and rapid prototyping.
• Investigate ways cloud-delivered experiences can improve on local experiences.
• Debug complex systems issues across performance, reliability, and production-like environments.
• Turn ambiguous ideas into demos, measurements, and production-quality implementations.
