Job summary

11:11 Systems is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer L3 (VMware administrator) to optimize, implement, and maintain our cloud-based infrastructure. You will drive customer success through effective problem resolution and strong client relationships while maintaining a details-driven, continuous improvement mindset.

This full-time role reports to the Manager of Service Operations and requires delivering high-quality support with a commitment to service excellence and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on experience as a technical VMware/VMware administrator in an enterprise environment.
• Strong experience with VMware management tools including vCenter, vCloud Director, and related utilities.
• Experience managing scalable, highly available VMware infrastructures.
• Proven track record implementing and managing multiple virtual environments.
• Solid understanding of virtualization technologies such as VMware, OpenStack, AWS.
• Familiarity with cloud-based services (BaaS, IaaS, DRaaS).
• 4+ years in technical support with strong troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication and a proactive, growth-oriented attitude.
• Detail-oriented with consultative problem-solving skills and independent task ownership.

Responsibilities

• Provide phone and email support to meet service commitments.
• Triage incoming tickets for Enterprise Cloud Infrastructure and DRaaS customers.
• Serve as escalation point for L1/L2 engineers; participate in after-hours on-call rotations.
• Collaborate with operations, development, and other teams.
• Own incident tickets and ensure timely progression and resolution.
• Follow service management best practices and maintain professional customer relations.
• Escalate to vendor support when needed and track resolutions.
• Manage ticketing systems and document issues and outcomes.
• Adhere to company policies, data handling rules, and compliance requirements.
