Job summary

Enverus is seeking a Senior Computational Software Engineer to join the Power & Energy Transition team. You will develop high-performance numerical backends and cloud-enabled SaaS solutions for electric grid operators and renewable developers.

The role emphasizes translating grid-study processes into scalable code, deploying large-scale parallel computations on cloud infrastructure, and collaborating to define requirements and tests. Senior expertise in Python and C++ is highly valued.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in EE/CE/ECE/CS, 4+ years of experience developing and deploying applications.
• Proficiency in Python; knowledge of C++ is a plus.
• Experience in developing and shipping high-performance numerical products/backends.
• Experience deploying software on cloud environments such as AWS.
• Familiarity with parallel computing frameworks.
• Knowledge of power systems and power systems simulation is a plus.
• Experience with AWS services like SQS/SNS, Docker and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Translate grid study processes into well-structured, performant code.
• Maintain and enhance the SaaS application to meet customer needs.
• Deploy and test large-scale parallel-compute code on cloud-based infrastructure.
• Collaborate with teammates to define product requirements, develop tests, and validate results.
• Support deployment of zero-carbon generation projects on the grid.
