Job summary

Enverus is seeking a Senior Computational Software Engineer to join the Power & Energy Transition team. You will translate grid study processes into performant code, maintain a SaaS backend, and deploy large parallel workloads on cloud infrastructure such as AWS.

The role requires deep knowledge of Python, a strong background in numerical methods, and experience with distributed computing. A PhD/BS/MS in engineering or CS is preferred, with 4+ years of relevant work experience.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python; knowledge of C++ is a plus.
• Experience in developing and shipping high‑performance numerical products/backends, utilizing computational parallelization frameworks.
• Knowledge of power systems and power systems simulation is a plus.
• BS/MS/PhD in EE/CE/ECE/CS preferred, with 4+ years of experience developing and deploying applications.

Responsibilities

• Translating manual grid study processes into well‑structured, performant code.
• Maintaining and enhancing our SaaS application to meet customer needs.
• Deploying and testing large‑scale parallel‑compute code on cloud‑based infrastructure.
• Working with the team to define product requirements, develop tests, and validate results.
• Support project developers in deploying zero‑carbon generation projects on the grid.
