Job summary

Renovo Automation develops practical software solutions for electric utilities and critical infrastructure. This Senior Software Engineer will contribute to energy analytics, visualization, and optimization of grid data, driving impact across the energy transition.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior developers, and explore new technologies to advance renewable energy initiatives and decarbonization goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field; equivalent work experience considered.
• 2-5 years of software development experience with delivering software solutions.
• Proficiency in Rust, C/C++, and at least one interpreted language (Python/JavaScript/TypeScript).

Responsibilities

• Design & Development: Develop high-quality software design and architecture; write clean, scalable code for energy-related applications.
• Lead & Collaborate: Work with leadership, designers, and developers; mentor junior developers.
• Innovate: Prototype and apply new technologies to enterprise software.
• Optimize: Stay updated with trends; improve development processes and practices.
• Support and Maintenance: Provide ongoing support and fix issues for existing applications.
